ABSTRACT
‘Greetings from Gela’ explores the Sicilian industrial exploitation and its dark legacy through the dialogue
between documentary photographs taken in 2019, and postcards produced in the second half of the
twentieth century, when the black-gold dream grew with the glorification of the myths of ‘modernity’ and
‘progress’.
